Ali Geeves CEO + Co-founder
Ali was introduced to riding at an early age, spending many school holidays at her extended family’s farming property in Central Queensland. At home, determined to continue her love of horses, she rode and worked at Cushavon Park Irish Draught and Sport Horse Stud right through to leaving home for university.
While studying for a Bachelor of Applied Science (Equine Science) at the University of Queensland, Gatton Campus, Ali committed to horses and riding. Her competition experience included many local and state-run competitions. During this time, she also established and ran a small agistment and Irish Sport Horse breeding property.

Early employment opportunities saw Ali develop sales and marketing skills in the pharmaceutical industry, moving quickly into management roles. Later, her management experience and livestock knowledge enabled Ali to take up an opportunity in the international beef industry, focusing on exportation. Her key responsibility was preparing and executing export documentation (air and sea) in the strictly regulated global beef market.

However, an entrepreneur at heart, Ali was keen to be her own boss. With an eye for opportunities and market gaps in the equine industry, it was not long before she became the co-founder and driving force behind equiprove.

Ali is currently the President of The Irish Draught and Sport Horse Society (Aust) Inc., and has been in the previous role of Secretary since 2014. In this role her love of technology and innovation has driven the modernisation of services including online membership, transfer of ownership, pedigree registrations, taking the society from paper-based documentation to an emerging digital organisation.

As a co-founder of equiprove, she is excited about the opportunities that a contemporary knowledge platform can bring to the Australian equine industry.
Her vision is for Australia to be seen not only as a world leader in using digital technology to provide transparency in equine data and information, but also as an early adopter of equine based knowledge technologies going forward.
