What is this Acceptable Use Policy about?

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the standards and rules that apply when accessing or using the equiprove platform (“Platform”). The Platform is operated by Equiprove Pty Ltd (trading as equiprove®) (“equiprove”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy is designed to with the intention that the Platform is used responsibly, lawfully and in a way that protects the integrity of equine data, the safety of participants and the security of the Platform. This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the equiprove Terms of Service. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to comply with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, you must discontinue use of the Platform.

Lawful Use of the Platform

You must only use the Platform for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with applicable laws, equestrian industry regulations and the equiprove Terms of Service. You must not use the Platform in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation, infringes the rights of any person or organisation, interferes with the operation, security or integrity of the Platform or undermines the integrity of equine data or regulatory records. Users are responsible for any information they submit to the Platform and that it is accurate and submitted in good faith.

Prohibited Activities

You must not engage in activities that misuse, disrupt or exploit the Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other user accounts or platform infrastructure
  • scraping, harvesting, extracting or copying Platform data using automated tools or technical methods

  • attempting to reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise analyse the Platform’s underlying technology

  • interfering with the normal operation or security of the Platform

  • introducing malware, viruses or malicious code

  • using the Platform in a way that disrupts other users or organisations operating within the Platform

Misuse of Platform Data

Users must not use data obtained from the Platform to reproduce, reconstruct or create competing databases, services or products. Platform data must not be copied, redistributed, resold or published outside the Platform unless such use is permitted by the Platform’s functionality or authorised by the relevant data owner. This includes attempts to extract horse records, participant information, competition records or other equine data in bulk for the purpose of creating independent datasets.

False, Misleading or Fraudulent Information

Users must not submit false, misleading or fraudulent information to the Platform.

This includes, but is not limited to submitting incorrect identity details, misrepresenting ownership or control of horses, falsifying breeding, pedigree or competition information, manipulating records or impersonating another person, organisation or official. equiprove reserves the right to remove or restrict access to records where inaccurate or misleading information is identified.

Harassment, Abuse and Misconduct

Users must not use the Platform to engage in behaviour that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory or harassing toward other users or organisations. The Platform must not be used to intimidate, threaten or otherwise harm participants in equestrian activities.

Protection of the Platform

Users must not attempt to interfere with the operation of the Platform, including by:

  • testing or probing platform security without authorisation

  • attempting to overload or disrupt system infrastructure

  • bypassing security controls or access restrictions

  • automating actions that degrade the performance or stability of the Platform

Compliance with Industry Governance

Where the Platform is used in connection with equine organisations, competitions or regulatory frameworks, users must comply with applicable governance rules, policies and standards. This includes respecting the integrity of competition records, horse identity records, regulatory identifiers and other official records maintained within the Platform.

Enforcement

equiprove may investigate suspected violations of this Acceptable Use Policy. Where a violation is identified, equiprove may take appropriate action including:

  • removing or restricting access to data or records

  • suspending or terminating user accounts

  • suspending organisational tenancies

  • reporting unlawful conduct to relevant authorities or regulatory bodies

Changes to This Policy

equiprove may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, industry requirements or applicable law. Updates will be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
